The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of terminally ill children and young teenagers.

The Texas-based organization Ally’s Wish grants wishes of mothers struggling with terminal illnesses.
Lamesa resident and former O’Donnell teacher Angie Harrison and her family received a trip to DisneyWorld in Orlando, Fla., last month courtesy of Ally’s Wish.
“It really is a place where dreams come true. Being at DisneyWorld gave us a chance to forget, for a little while, our problems. And that’s what a vacation is supposed to do,” said Marshall “Rowdy” Harrison. In 2009 Harrison was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent two surgeries and 17 rounds of chemotherapy and was assured by her doctors that she was in remission.
