Brittney thought the pain was stress.
Doctors told her it was likely “female issues.”
She tried to push through — like so many moms do.
But in April of 2024, the pain became unbearable and she finally went to the ER. Within hours, everything changed. A CT scan revealed a ruptured colon and something no mother is prepared to hear: Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer that had already spread to her liver and lungs.
Brittney was a single mom. Her whole world was her daughter, Magnolia.
In the middle of chemo, surgeries, and the uncertainty of what comes next, Brittney kept talking about one simple dream — taking Magnolia to Disney World.
Because sometimes a mom just wants to be a mom… not a patient.
Thanks to the generosity of this incredible community, Ally’s Wish was able to quickly grant Brittney’s urgent wish.
Together, Brittney and Magnolia explored Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT. They rode the safari at Animal Kingdom, laughed together, and stayed at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort where every day felt like a little escape from hospitals and treatments.
Brittney shared with us after the trip:
“I’m sure we made memories that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful to Ally’s Wish for giving us this trip.”
This week, Brittney lost her battle with cancer.
But because of this wish, Magnolia will always have the memory of walking through Disney hand in hand with her mom — laughing, exploring, and just being together.
And that is why Ally’s Wish exists.
Because when time feels uncertain, memories become everything.
Please keep Magnolia and Brittney’s loved ones in your prayers. And thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who helps us say “yes” to moms like Brittney.
You are giving families moments they will carry forever.
