Refer a Mom

Ally’s Wish exists to grant wishes of moms struggling with terminal illnesses.

Dear Supporters and Applicants,

Thank you for your continued support of Ally’s Wish and our mission to grant wishes for young mothers facing terminal illnesses. Due to an increased demand and a very extended wait list, we are updating the qualification criteria to ensure that we can best serve our applicants and manage our resources effectively.

Starting November 1, 2024 new applications will be limited to Texas residents only, and all children in the applicant’s family must be under the age of 18 at the time of application.  These changes allow us to focus on supporting families who need our assistance most and enable us to better manage wait times for granted wishes.

We rely on wish referrals from caring individuals to help us bring light and joy to families in what would otherwise be a very dark time. We review eligibility for every case we receive. Learn more about who is eligible, who can refer, and how our referral process works.

Ally’s Wish accepts referrals from:

  • Moms facing terminal illness
  • Medical professionals (doctors, nurses, social worker, hospice staff)
  • Family members
  • Close friends
  • Anyone with detailed knowledge of the mom’s condition

To be eligible, moms must meet these criteria at time of referral:

  • All children must be under the age of 18 at the time of application.
  • Diagnosed with a terminal illness with the initial diagnosis being after the mom had a child or children
  • Must be a United States citizen currently living in the State of Texas
  • Must not have received a wish from another organization
  • Must not have already received a wish from Ally’s Wish
  • Moms must be diagnosed as Stage 4 or terminal and cannot be in current clinical trial
  • Must provide a doctor’s letter stating mom is cleared to travel

Note: Wishes cannot exceed $5,000. Ally’s Wish does not grant monetary wishes.

So excited this is happening! Ally’s Wish is doing wonderful things, not only for Allyson, but other mothers who are facing the unthinkable!
